My name is Kara Obuszewski. I am a high school learning support math teacher at Fairview High School in Erie, PA. I also teach high school math through the Upward Bound program at Edinboro University and tutor fourth graders. This is my fifth year of teaching.
My undergraduate degree was a dual degree in elementary education and special education from Slippery Rock University. I graduated in 2008. I am also now certified to teach middle school math, middle school English, high school math and high school English. My master’s is in educational leadership and I am pursuing my degree Special Education Supervisor Certification.
My interests and hobbies are snowboarding, cooking, scrapbooking, saving money, working out and baking. I currently am planning my wedding for this upcoming year.
My learning goals of this course would be to learn more strategies to reach different students to make Algebra easier for them and I would like to learn how to utilize mathematical technology because I just got my first Promethean board this year.
Nice website, Kara. Congrats on your upcoming wedding.
I am looking forward to hearing about your Promethean board. It has been 10 years since I have taught, there are a lot of new technology out there for me to learn about.
